I can't remember but it might be the first time I'm colouring in my ink drawings- and it's a lot trickier than I thought, but it's a hell lotta fun. And I think it's only gonna get more fun from here.  These are my precious girls- blindfold and paperbag girl.

Buc inked

Since I've got this spankin' new scanner that's totally awesome I dug through some old stuff I never got around digitising. Here's something I made in earlier this year- They're drawn from photos I took last summer of Bucharest. Particularly like the second one.

Potted Bulbous Plant

Inked this potted bulbous plant (never got to ask the name) yesterday on the beautiful garden terrace at the Lillemarks. I think I blinked half the spring away, it's really summer now!

Spotted yesterday on the way to the art store under the bridge- look ma, I drew that! (Will try and take a better picture next time- taking photos under a dodgy bridge wasn't something to be done at a leisurely pace)

Sartorial People in Ink

Straight from the my uber new scanner! Itching for ink again, and this time I went for a binge on the Sartorialist for references of uber cool looking people in their awesome clothes. This is also one of the few times I roughed in a pencil sketch for the forms before going in with ink- as I felt like working on a tight drawing. (Like how I explained it to my boyfriend- it's like discipline training with weight-lifting.)

You can see how from the first man on the top left I was still timid and made inefficient lines- but progressively (at least I hope so) it gets better. But the bottom number 2 and 3 are reverse in order my inking. 

Scoala Discovery Poster

This is an illustration for a dino-design contest poster from Discovery Romania, creative directed by Gologan. While the illustration looks all sweet and innocent, I had an incredibly bad curse on electronic appliances that week- from my laptop charger kaputting out of the blue, to persistent software crashes, to the psd file going inexplicably missing from the computer AND my thumbdrive after being at the 80% completion stage (So I pretty much did this illustration twice, I still have picture proof of the "first born" on my phone). What electronic deity did I forget to present offerings to, I wonder.

Finally had the time to squeeze in some time for a personal work since I got myself this huge new monitor! 

Gazeta

Was digging up old psd files I can delete to make space in my tiny D. Found this that I made for Gazeta Sporturilor almost 2 years ago.

Acne Doggy

Soooo I finally got myself that new huge ass monitor.
There is one unanticipated kink: with the new giant dimensions of my monitor, my hand-screen coordination with the wacom is thrown off to feeling as if I've never used a wacom before. (The size of my previous laptop screen is a very similar size to my wacom surface, a happy fact I did not quite observe till now)

With all the happiness of a new monitor owner, I do still have to practise this new "home" I will make as an extension of myself- so I drew these dogs from a nice photo I came across on Acne website.


Oh, and screen callibration-program associations is such a headache.

Winter and Tuna

This was my get up this winter. It will very soon be spring though, so here's to remembering Gluhwein. 

What's funny is that only after I've finished this drawing did I realise that my first name is an anagram of "tuna".

WIP Tummy Ache Lass

It is super rare that I remember to take WIP shots throughout drawing, I usually capture a few when starting and jump 12 steps to the final. So this time that I captured pretty much consistently, I'm posting it!

Sapphire

A poster for a film set to be filmed in spring-summer this year. Titled "Sapphire", it's a story about three misguided characters implicated in a bank robbery love triangle, which goes horribly wrong.

The text on top isn't the official tagline though, it's just something I threw in to see and get the feel of a movie poster.

Can't trust my screen very well, I wonder if it's too dark?

Another illustration for Ziarul Financiar, accompanying an interview article with Romanian dancer-coreographer Gigi Caciuleanu.  I liked very much how he speaks of the travel between Paris and Bucharest being like a beautiful yoyo (He's mainly residing in Paris).

Whisky princess

Two Old Strangers

This is an illustration I did for my friend Alina to accompany her script. It's titled "LES VIEUX CACHES DE PARIS", a story about two old lonely strangers who re-create imaginary lives where they were together.
